Building Bridges Burnley Honoured with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service 2024
We are delighted that Building Bridges Burnley has been awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service — the highest accolade given to local volunteer groups across the UK. This award recognises over 20 years of dedicated, grassroots work to bring people of different faiths and backgrounds together across Burnley.
BBB has grown into a vital part of community life — championing dialogue, inclusion, and understanding through interfaith education, events, and partnership work with schools, faith groups, and local organisations.
Receiving this award is a tribute not only to the volunteers involved today but also to the vision and commitment of the group’s founding members, whose legacy continues to inspire our work. We are deeply grateful to every volunteer, partner, and supporter who has contributed to Building Bridges Burnley over the years.
